VALUE CHAIN

We promote best practices throughout our entire value chain. We work in partnership with more than 6,000 suppliers of goods and services distributed across 24 states, as well as approximately 1,100 sugarcane management accounts located in 4 states. Each partner plays a fundamental role in our ecosystem, and we value relationships based on legal, socio-environmental responsibility and safety.

SUGARCANE
PRODUCTION CHAIN

Around 50% of the sugarcane processed by Raízen comes from a partnership with sugarcane farmers. To support the evolution and growth of these producers, we have developed the Elos Raízen and Jornada Cultivar programs. We provide continuous and personalized monitoring, including technical assistance throughout the harvest year.

Elos Raízen

Elos Raízen is a program aimed at promoting continuous improvement throughout the sugarcane chain, contributing to the quality of life of rural workers, environmental preservation, and the prosperity of businesses both inside and outside the farm.

The initiative is led by a team of experts and involves partnerships with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) such as Solidaridad Foundation, wichi is specialized in the development of sustainable production chains, and Imaflora (Institute for Forest and Agricultural Management and Certification), a recognized accreditation institution for development of the program.

Methodology

The Elos Raízen methodology is focused on continuous improvement and combines diagnosis, planning, personalized guidance, and engagement. The approach aims not only at achieving specific goals but also at strengthening a culture of socio-environmental responsibility and respect for human rights in the surroundings of our operations.
